Quand j’étais jeune, j’ai vécu mes vacances dans des paysages champenois faits de fossé, de chemin et de haie. Un monde magnifique et très vivant. Un jour, où je revenais de pension, après plusieurs mois d’absence, je vis que tout avait été rasé. Je me suis enquis auprès de mes copains de village de la cause de ce qui m’apparaissait comme un désastre. On me répondit comme à un demeuré : « Ben, c’est le remembrement ». Je voulus savoir pourquoi tout raser. On me répondit : « Économiquement, c’est plus rentable, cela permet de travailler plus de terre en moins de temps, c’est ce que disent les ingénieurs. »
À l’instant, où j’ai vu ça, je l’ai su, c’était la bêtise du siècle. Maintenant, on le sait et de nouveaux ingénieurs essaient de recréer des chemins, des haies et des fossés….
Donc, il y avait un super modèle d’espace agricole qui s’appelait le bocage.
